Ridgepole
Ridgepole started as an operations dashboard for a home builder and became its own product: one place to run jobs, builds, crews, money, and homeowner communication.

The problem
Small builders and contractors live in texts, spreadsheets, and a whiteboard. The big platforms solve that for enterprise firms, then charge accordingly and hide their pricing. We wanted something a three-person crew could set up in an afternoon.
What we built
Two workspaces from the same system. Contractors get jobs, a crew schedule, and what is ready to invoice. Home builders get builds, change orders, daily logs, punch lists, selections, and a morning briefing that surfaces what needs attention. Homeowners get a portal where they see progress photos and approve selections. Each photo is marked internal, customer-visible, or public — so the same upload can feed the crew, the client, and the marketing site.
How it is built
Money is stored as whole cents and balances are always derived from the payment ledger — never typed in — so the numbers cannot drift. More than 250 automated tests cover billing, the job lifecycle, photo visibility, and the UI.
